I think it has something to do with the hypersexualization of women's clothing, the constant expectation to look glamorous not "frumpy," etc. Also you can sell more handbags if you don't put pockets on clothing. XD I can get a bit tin foil hat about this, but I honestly think these issues are all connected.
I remember seeing that with razors. *Exactly* the same product, girls one in PINK, and more expensive because of it. I knew women who bought the guys razors to save money. Madness.

Haha! So true. ALWAYS inspect dresses for pockets XD
I've never understood the whole absence of pockets thing... Don't women *carry* stuff? Guys clothes are overflowing with pockets!!

I agree with you. I don't believe its co-ordinated but there's definitely a widespread conspiracy against women going on out there!
It's because they want us to buy purses and handbags and clutches instead of using pockets.
Indeed. Never understood that... Oh, and the price of women's haircuts Vs men's.... NEVER going to understand that rip-off!
The 'pink tax' is a very real thing. Literally the same products, marketed to men vs women, our prices are always higher.
