I assume the town name is Sparta and they wanted something "Greek"....XD Guess no one would understand "Hoplites". Myrmidons would have been cool. Not accurate, but still.
Of course Helen of Troy started out as Helen of Sparta.... So there's that.... [grin]
This makes my brain hurt.
