My office actually still has a chalkboard in it, but I covered it with pretty purple contact paper and then mirrorball decorations, because of course my office theme this year is Taylor (my students helped me decide on the theme, they love it). I don't know the last time the space was used, so that's probably why it is still there. Classrooms have long since converted to white boards, and more recently to smart boards/projectors.

The sound of chalk makes me absolutely insane. I hate it so much.
It can certainly set your teeth on edge! Do you use chalk? Is chalk even used in schools in the 21st century?
