I imagine this was connected to a discussion involving his view of cities. One of the reasons he desired a republic of independent homesteaders is that they are, by design, independent -- not like proletarians who are subject to the whims of a boss.
Unknown... I was reading a bit about that - in a roundabout way - just today. Plus there's chatter about "Class Warfare" on the Interweb because of the CEO shotting recently. Nonsense, but still.....
