If you watch the video, not just a still, he clutches his heart and acts like he's throwing it out to the crowd. That is not how a Nazi salute is executed. You can find stills for ANYONE with their arm in that pose. Musk has been to Israel and literally has 'Bibi' defending him. And it was CNN who started this absurd hysteria to begin with.

Yes, I've watched the video multiple times. I'd say, on the balance of probabilities that it was indeed a Nazi salute... Did he *mean* it....? That's a whole other question. He might have been doing for shock value - to get the media and the 'Left' all in a flutter... He might have been gauging reactions from others, he might have just been normalising it.... Who knows *what* was going through his head.... But I'm confident that it was, indeed, a Nazi salute.

I think it's more a case of people who don't like Elon wanting to interpret anything about him in the worst way people. The "Dark Brandon" imagery comes to mind where Biden was cast in a red light with Marines on either shoulder: it looks ominous like he's trying to do a Palpatine impression. Zoom out and the red is part of a blue, red, and white display.

I guess we will see..... I mean, its not like he's been supportive of far-right groups/parties in other countries, or supported/amplified hate-speech on Twitter, or backed antisemitic conspiracy theories... But we'll see.... Time will tell..... He might be a really nice friendly person ... deep down.....

I watched the video back when this happened, preparing to be skeptical, as I know that the media does like to amp up things. But honestly - his second gesture looked even more like a Nazi salute than the first one, and the first one was pretty bad. And his facial expression goes from pleasant to a weird grimace as he's doing it. I doubt it was rehearsed, it was probably a spur-of-the-moment impulse. That doesn't make it right, though. Furthermore he's been very vocal about his support for the AfD party in Germany, he's been helping them campaign as recently as this last Saturday.

Either way, we should not have someone unelected in such a prominent position of influence, to the point of him being on phone calls with world leaders etc. This action was just the tip of the iceberg.

Fortunately, since Trump doesn't seem to be able to get along with anyone for very long, I give it 6 months tops before a separation.

Agreed.... Although I do wonder just how much damage Musk can do before Trump turns on him. Best case scenario they *really* turn on each other. Now THAT would be fun to watch!
