That's a nasty looking weapon. I thought Thor at first, but the hammer doesn't look right.
It might be an idea of the human that 'became' Thor later in myth. The dead bodies certainly look (or could be re-imaged as) Ice Giants.Well, that's my thought anyway [grin]

I think that the Norse Ice Giants where actual giants. The White Walkers in GoT are, I think, some kind of reanimated dead.... as far as I can tell.
