I'm not sure if there's anything to 'get' exactly. I picked it for a winter theme and because I liked the look of it.
The obviously human footsteps are intriguing. Whose are they? Why do they stop? Where did the person go? What is the significance of the small bear? Is it the child of the big bear or something else? Is the small bear symbolic? Maybe it represents childhood?
I don't know. Its a picture that made me ponder, a picture that has no clear clean explanation. Something you have to think about....
Maybe the artist had an explanation for his/her work. I have no idea. It did interest me know......
Okay, I had all the same questions, I just wasn't sure if I was missing something. Also was there any significance between real bear and stuffed bear, or the stuffed bear being pink? Maybe a hunter took the mama bear's cub, so she took the hunter's little girl. The stuffed bear belonged to the little girl. ? ?

Looks like we were definitely having the same kind of thoughts [grin] But that's the great thing about art - thinking about interpretation....
