LOL - Although I can't think of any incident where lots of women were killed during an air raid whilst working in a factory. Presumably they had decent air raid shelters close by and good evacuation procedures. So it probably *was* safer than staying at home......
A book on this subject coming up next year as part of my 'Women @ War' triple read.
Speaking of -- I just read a prose version of the Aeneid (prep for reading the verse form), and discovered a warrior-woman named Camilla in it. Sounded pretty feisty until she intercepted an arrow..

Let that be a warning to all feisty women.... I'm guessing was the moral of the tale....
