There's a country-novelty song that comes to mind..
"In some of my songs I have casually mentioned The fact that I like to drink beer This little song is more to the point Roll out the barrel, and lend me your ears I like beer. It makes me a jolly good fellow! I like beer It helps me unwind, and sometimes it makes me feel melllow MAKES HIM FEEL MELLOW!"

Tom Hall, the artist, also did a favorite, "Faster Horses"...in which an old man educates a naive youth that the secret of life is faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, and more money.
It is indeed to strange prohibition area - which (IIRC) gave on heck of a boost to organised crime!
@ Stephen: faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, and more money?
I do like horses but don't often bet on them. (Reasonably) young women - the smarter the better, never been a huge fan of whisky and money... yup, I can deal with having more money [grin]
