@ Mudpuddle: I do wonder what American's think any more. Has this just become another background thing that you just live with like tornadoes or hurricane's? How many people need to die senselessly for a rational debate about gun control taking place? Will it take 100+ deaths next time for people even to mention the word 'control' or even [shape intake of breath] 'ban'.
@ VV: Honestly I really can't think straight about this - and I don't even live in your country. Anywhere else in the civilised world there would be hell to pay if the incumbent government did nothing. Even in a war zone something like this would be seen as a war crime. Seemingly in the US it's business as usual.
I saw some interviews today in Las Vegas where they essentially said that nothing needs to be done because there isn't any gun problem that needs addressing. Whilst attitudes and beliefs like that exist not a single thing will be done to stop this sort of thing happening again... and again... and again. How bad does it really have to get before people say 'enough is enough'?
Until it happens to them, nothing will change. One of the musicians who was there that night issued a statement where he says he was an avid gun rights person, but what he experienced that night changed his mind.

I'm so disgusted with Congressional whores for the NRA.

The NRA propaganda is very powerful for the easily manipulated, and the money and gerrymandering keeps NRA whores in power. 😡
