I normally take a long break over Christmas but this year they've changed the holiday rules. I usually took 2 weeks over into next year (I tend not to take much holiday) but I can only take one week now (apparently to 'improve people's work/life balance) so I'm having to take an extra 5 days holiday per year. The Christmas break was an ideal place to add a few more.
