It's true. When even Boris Johnson laughs at you...you know you've messed up big time. Or, in trumplethinskin's case, he has no idea that he has messed up because he has obviously handled this whole pandemic beautifully. I swear, every time I roll my eyes, I worry they will roll right on out of my head.
@ Mudpuddle: I don't think that most of the world hates him. Some certainly do. The rest of us either ignore the idiot (if we can) or laugh @ him. I think that for the first time in a long time a large percent of the world feels sorry for US residents.
@ Sarah: I think the US allies see this as an aberration - or at least they hope it is. Of course if he WINS in November they'll need to decide what they do next - probably either go their own way or plan things together on the assumption that the US won't be involved any more.
That is my biggest fear, we are going to be abandoned. I can't blame our allies one bit, and with Biden being the Democratic nominee, a trump win is entirely possible. The very idea of another four years makes me sick to my stomach.
I think that most people across the world would be surprised, shocked and dismayed if he wins in Nov - but its certainly not impossible. I do think that most countries - both your allies and enemies - will increasingly ignore you from that point and get on with their lives. I think a Trump 2nd term will either isolate itself or be isolated by the rest of us. Let's hope that doesn't happen!
