@ Mudpuddle: I can kinda see the twisted logic in paying the workforce minimal wages - it increases profits but.... If the workforce is living from hand to mouth... who is supposed to be buying all the products they make. Pay the workforce more... they either buy stuff (so consumer demand rises) or they save the money (so investment potential increases) or they do a bit of both. So you get an upward spiral of growth.... Where's the downside?

it's obvious to me also; i just don't see why billionaires don't like it... well, i guess i do, tho: sheer mindless greed...
