Welcome to the thoughts that wash up on the sandy beaches on my mind. Paddling is encouraged.. but watch out for the sharks.
it'll be boring, most likely (LOL)...
LOL - I do hope not. OK, I've read the book (twice now) and the trailers seem pretty close to the original but I'm not expecting to be *bored* by it [grin]
Hopefully, they won't need to hand out pamphlets to explain the film like they did with the 1984 film. I had read several of the books at the time so I knew what was going on but a lot of people were lost.
Hi, Mike. How's it going? The David Lynch film, despite having quite a fondness for it and viewing it multiple times, was a bit of a cluster wasn't it? [grin]. Funnily, having read the book 40 years ago, I'd forgotten just how much it actually diverged from the book. That's one of the reasons it was such a complex mess I think - plus the fact that he tried to film the entire first book into a single LONG movie! At least this time it seems to have been done right. I'll know in just under 2 weeks!
We finally watched the new Dune and enjoyed it. I look forward to the second part and will watch both together. It did make me want to read the books again. It's been about *mumble mumble* years since I have read them.
