Most gun owners would agree with you. Hang around a gun forum and you'll find contempt for the NRA as a group that works to support the industry, and not arms enthusiasts themselves. That's why Gun Owners of America exists.
From what I've seen the days of the NRA are numbered aren't they - with internal fighting and legal cases piling up. Plus a self-serving leadership doesn't help!
