Books are GREAT insulation! I'm sure that my house is much warmer because of the bookshelves in most of the rooms... [grin]
I do have a hankering to hibernate during the Winter. At least now that I'm retired I can do that if I wish, rather than dragging myself out in all weathers to go to work.
I think the only room in my house with no books at all is the bathroom. I even have a small stack of cooking books in the kitchen (although they're the only ones not slotted into a separate shelf unit).

Great point. That might be the case in our house, as well. :D

I have always a book in the bathroom. Just one but that's enough. Other than that, yeah, books everywhere.
