But can you name the FILM?

Is this that Alfred Hitchcock film that takes place in France?

Car Grant for sure, Grace Kelly maybe, I don’t know Hitchcock movies very well, but the two titles that pop in my head are either “To Catch a Thief,” or “North by Northwest.”

To Catch a Thief would have been my first idea, as well. If that is Grace Kelly (hard to tell from the side, might have been another of Hitchcocks many blonde actresses). That was the only movie they made together.

It *is* Cary Grant (too easy!), and it *is* a Hitchcock movie.... But that *isn't* Grace Kelly.....

Grant's co-star here is Eva Marie Saint.... Which means its from the set of.... 'North by Northwest', one of my all time fave movies.

Hitchcock did have a 'type' for leading lady (I do honestly prefer Kelly but Saint was pretty good too) so I understand the confusion.

I think that my ALL time fave Hitchcock movie was 'Dial M for Murder'.

I was afraid it might not be her. And yes, Dial M for Murder is probably my favourite, as well. Or Rear Window.

Yup, Rear Window, another excellent movie!

Rear Window, had to be. Only JS/GK film I know of.

But..... that's neither of them..... [looks confused] Unless we're all agreeing the 'Rear Window' is an excellent film.... [grin]

That's not Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly?

Whoa, that was tricky!

I still need to watch Dial M for Murder... My family and I were going through his films a few years ago, but we didn't finish the project. My favorite at the time was Notorious :)

@ Stephen: Nope, that's Cary Grant & Eva Marie Saint.

@ Marian: I didn't think it was TOO bad, but then again I'm *very* familiar with the movie... 'Dial M' is brilliant. It's VERY clever and is wonderfully shot. It has a real stage play vibe. I'm guessing it was an adaptation from a play rather than straight to script or from an existing story.
