I like to think that Bean's playing Sharpe (who survives things that should have killed him dozens of times) is a little joke given the lifespan of Bean's other characters. Bean's narration of Civ 6 is one of the reasons I bought it. ;)
Bean isn't a *terrible* actor, but he's pretty much 1 dimensional. I don't think I've ever seen him, you know, ACT. But saying that, he does suit the role of Sharpe quite well... [grin]
The game. Haven't watched the film, no interest. Bean is the physical and sound model for an Illusive Target. I don't recall his character's name, but both CallmeKevin and RTGames killed him in probable ways (with a fish and muffin respectively, IIRC).
