I only go after them if my partner spots them, then it’s my bare hands or a tissue. It depends on how big the spider, how quickly she wants me to kill it, and what material is available. 😖
I generally go out of my way not to kill things unless I really have to - including spiders. Sure they totally CREEP me out - well, the BIG ones do but I think the little ones are quite cute - but I don't regard that as an excuse for death. [grin]
Then again, I'm the kind of person who picks snails up by their shell to move them off the pavement/sidewalk if I think they're going to get squished LONG before they make it to a grassed area. Oh, the LOOKS I've got doing that!! [lol]

Ewwwww. Spiders are gross, but so are spider guts. Blech.
I capture them with a plastic cup & expel them. When I had a cat I had to be quick too - before she killed them. "Big Hunter" I'd laugh @ her!!
I kill them. I can't even handle them with their millions of eyes and legs. Yuck.
