NEVER. AI is terrifying and no one who can do anything about it seems to care. Taylor Swift is a prime example of this - absolutely horrific AI pictures of her were floating around online a month or so ago, originating from Twitter. Graphic, horrible images of her, absolutely sickening. And if that can happen to literally the most powerful woman in the world, what hope is there for the rest of us who don't have her money or power?
If AI is as advertised, then we're pretty much toast. The problem is that AI is a learning machine and the smarter it gets then the faster it'll learn and eventually it'll be smarter than the whole planet combined. It doesn't even have to 'feel' malice towards us - we could just be in the way and if we ever are there's zero we can do about it. We can't even stop it being developed - because someone somewhere will develop it because of the supposed 'power' it promises. Maybe AI is the filter that eliminate intelligent life in the Universe which is why we've never found any....... What we're seeing now is only the very leading edge of what's coming our way.
