It was the summer of floyd people who burned city blocks, and the wokesters in Seattle who tried to take over neighborhoods and actually killed people. Best you can pin on those wicked rural white ragers is...trespassing. Guided by cops. :p
@ Sarah: I think it certainly caught most people by surprise - both inside the US and (maybe especially) around the world.
@ Stephen: LOL - REALLY - **trespassing**?? I guess that you missed the preceding riot as well as the numerous assaults & criminal damage, plus numerous other criminal activity on the day (and before).
Hopefully people have learnt their lessons and appropriate security measures will be in place *next* January!!
I've watched like an hour of footage from Jan 6 and most of it is weird "people roarming through the Capitol" stuff. The Q Shamaon wanted to go in there and exorcise demonic spirits. He's...nuts, but honestly I like his personality more than most of the careerists in DC. XD.
I'm sure the Establishment has the next election well in hand. It will be like voting for Saddam Hussein, yes or no?
So... No actual riot then? [looks confused] I think it was in all the papers & on the TV News... But you *might* have missed it I guess.... [grin]
From what I've seen the election looks like 50/50 either way - mostly because of your *weird* voting system to be honest. Its certainly not a 'done deal' by any stretch. Plus either or both of them might have dropped dead by November..
Yeah, it was shocking to see the chaos and everything happening in real time. It was very difficult to focus on work that day because report after report got worse and worse. The massive amount of footage that came out afterward was mind-boggling. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if the crowds found AOC, Pelosi, etc. And of course we had fucking Boebert tweeting Pelosi's movements and location, so that was great. We can at least be thankful that many of these morons recorded themselves breaking the law.
