I shudder to think just how 'entertaining' he would be if Trump was President again. I really don't think that the majority of people within the US will find it so. It might be fun to watch with an ocean between us just for its educational value.
I've said since Day One that Biden is too old for the job. He was too old in 2020 and he's certainly too old now. But Trump..... Geeze that man is dangerous.... Hopefully you guys won't find out just how dangerous he can be!
It's absolute hyberpole. He was in charge for four years and what did he do? The worst I can think of is scorching the deal with Iran, which has probably poisoned relations with them for another half-century. He didn't try to install a coup. Where were the guns? January 6 was an overrowdy crowd almost certainly egged on by embedded goonie boys. I've watched an hour of footage from it -- there is a documentary about the Q Shaman I watched last year -- and while it was sacrilegious and criminal, which the Shaman guy admits now, what violence was there? Breaking and entertaining, moving furniture. The only person who died was a woman shot by the cops --- cops who were accompanying the 'insurrectionists' nearly the entire time. It's another Gulf of Tonkin episode, in my opinion.
Well, at least we can agree that ditching the Iran nuclear deal was incredibly stupid! The rest I think we'll need to agree to disagree. We have very different interpretations of events!
Disgusting, isn't it? In four years of Biden's term, the Dems couldn't do a better job budiling up the next generation, so there would be a viable option. Not to mention the fact that he said he would not run for a second term, yet here we are because this grifting con man is also running. I fucking hate this stupid country.
Also, you are 100% right. There is nothing entertaining about Trump for another term. He is dangerous because he is stupid. His supporters in local, state, and national government are dangerous because they are the ones actually pushing through shitty legislation.
Both are incredibly risky. Biden has alienated all the young voters who voted for him and believing his word that he wouldn't run for a second term. Not enough to make them vote for trump, which is clearly the worse choice, but some may fall victim to thinking Jill Stein is an acceptable third party candidate. Dems should have already had a viable candidate ready instead of deciding now that something might need to change.
Basic Rule: Always have a Plan B. The very first thing you do is create a fallback position... oh, and dig some graves (but that's probably just my Celtic genes talking...).

With November *rushing* at us - the Democrats need to make up their minds. I can see the risks of either option, and there's a LOT to play for.
