Bab 5 is a series I've never tried, and I REALLY SHOULD considering how often it's compared to DS9, my favorite Trek outside of SNW.
Its a *little* hit and miss at times... But when it HITS, OMG is it good! Generally great and often ground breaking TV SF. There's quite a few great characters - including Susan of course!
Heya, CK! I hope you are well.
I love Claudia and Babylon 5. She's also done a ton of video game voice work, including World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Starfield, to name a few.
Hey Mike! How's things with you? I too LOVED Claudia in B5. Ivanova was a *great* character in an often brilliant show (with the odd wobble). I really liked the way that, after the 1st series, it had an amazing story arch. Stuffed with memorable characters - on 'both' sides - and some amazing battle sequences. And who couldn't love the Star Furies & the Earth Destroyers... [grin]
I am well, thanks! Yeah, I love that characters like Zathras, first seen in season 1, show up in later seasons, tying the whole story together.
I remember learning that in early episodes, some say just the pilot, others say the whole first season, the effects were rendered using Video Toaster on Commodore Amigas. I love the idea of the effects of a big show being rendered on what was basically a home computer with the Video Toaster hardware/software combo.
I did so like the fact that they felt confident enough to both 'play' with characters like Zathras "Not the ONE!" as well as plan for stories that spanned across series. It was FUN thinking "so THAT explains it!" more than once. Also the fact that so many characters got a great developmental story arc like G'Kar and Londo.
