Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Guy Fawkes and his companions
Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
All up alive.
Threescore barrels, laid below,
To prove old England's overthrow.
But, by God's providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
A stick and a stake
For King James's sake!
If you won't give me one,
I'll take two,
The better for me,
And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn'orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!

"Speed, bonnie boat, like a bird on the wing,
Onward! the sailors cry;
Carry the lad that's born to be king
Over the sea to Skye.....
" Many's the lad, fought on that day
Well the claymore did wield;
When the night came, silently lay
Dead on Culloden's field."
Happy bonfire night! XD
We have... other fires to attend to over on this side of the pond..
Would that be once the count is 'confirmed'... Or next January? Presumably your State is Blue and is expected to stay that way?
Ok..... [grin]
Depending on the results, I imagine we may see a LOT of 'mostly peaceful protests'. DC businesses are already boarding themselves up in defense of the army of 'joy'.
I see that the Philly DA had some 'advice' to those who wanted to 'play militia'.... "F around and Find Out". What HAS America come to? Leader of the Free World? Bastion of Democracy? I guess we'll see soon enough....
Happy bonfire night also! We’re in a blue state too, it’s the rest of the country I worry about in this group project. 🙄
I have a BAD feeling about it..... [cringe]
Exactly. I unfortunately live in a very red state, but luckily was born and raised in a very blue state. So I am a little blue dot here in Omaha, with other little blue dots, trying to make things better one district at a time.
