I'm old enough to remember 'life' before remote control. It was the age of the smallest kid in the room being tasked to change channel at an order from the parent (or older sibling). Kids of today have NO idea what it was like back then.... THREE channels and if you missed the show or showed up late you missed it - FOR EVER......

It was brutal! I had siblings who would remove the knob so you couldn’t switch a channel they were watching. Then a smarter sibling grabbed the pliers and the channel wars reignited! 🤣🤣🤣

Back in my day, we didn't even have a TV.

Oh, yes... The stealing the switch thing... Been there, done that! With the same solution care of Dad's tool-kit!

We didn't have a TV till quite late... Black & white of course!! I watched FAR too much TV when young - until I 'discovered' books. Haven't had one for YEARS now. I only watch some movies either on DVD or on BBC iPlayer or Prime.

I think I already left school when we got our first one, also black & white, of course. I remember having to watch certain stuff for school and had to go to the neighbours for that.
