It still makes me laugh when one of my Uni teachers kept calling me 'comrade' because he thought I was a Communist (like that was some sort of insult - although it was back in the mid-80's so maybe he thought it was). At that point in my political evolution I was far more leaning towards Anarchism (being in my 20's) but always with a Socialist tinge... I think I might have just 'discovered' Anarcho-Syndicalism around that time.... [muses]

But like...MORE left. Not left-centrist. At least here. I'm so tired of the argument "further left will alienate centrists"..OKAY, but then you alienate a bigger block, especially of younger voters, who are far left and would never vote for Biden or Harris. If Harris had done two things differently, she would have one - the first would have been to NOT campaign with Liz Cheney, But the bigger one was to commit to not funding the genocide in Palestine.

Yeah, you guys don't really have a 'Left' at least not in a Party. You certainly have people *on* the Left but moving to the 'centre' AKA moving to the RIGHT is *NOT* the way to gain votes. That party wouldn't be right *enough* for the RIGHT wing and would be *too* right for the Left. Its a NON-Winning strategy! DUH! You move *LEFT* where a large number of people - usually ignored of course - already live.... as has been proved multiple times. Maybe the Trump fiasco will actually result in you getting some *real* Lefties into positions of power can some positive change might actual happen...?

OMG typos...how embarassing. WON not one.

I've been a Bernie supporter since 2015 and he would have beaten trump the first time around, and we could have avoided all of this. AOC and Bernie have had rallies recently that give me hope, but everyone who have been ignored on the left are so jaded at this point, I don't know what to do. Tim Walz has also been traveling and I hope he runs in the future.

It makes me so angry that for four years the Dems did nothing to build up the next generation of viable candidates. They just assumed trump wouldn't/couldn't run? Please. That man has never followed a law a day in his life and his supporters in the government sure won't.

I just hope we have not reached the point of no return, and that AOC, Bernie, and Walz's efforts are not too late for meaningful change.

I think there's some VERY good younger members of the Democratic party who have a great future on the Left of things. Hopefully they won't need to get into their 60's before they gain any kind of power!!

I hope so. But the talk about Vance running as president in four years with trump as the VP, and then Vance stepping down for trump, is actually being floated as an idea. We're never going to have real elections again.
