Well, it started out meaning we'd rather let people own military-grade weapons despite the 2nd Amendment being written by guys who owned muskets, than doing anything to legislate meaningful change that would help protect teachers and students from being murdered in mass shootings.

That too! Its no surprise that most (if not all) of the world looks at America with shock and shakes their heads as the sheer craziness of the place.
Yep. It's still the literal phrase that gets brought out every time there's a mass shooting. It's gross.
