I keep getting told I don’t have ADHD and likely level one Autism even though a general practitioner, a psychiatrist, and neurologist all diagnosed me with that. I’m too smart, too organized, too successful, never mind countless examples of issues I struggle with daily staring them in the face. Both of my kids have been diagnosed similarly, although my daughter is level two autistic. But no, all the medical experts are wrong. I’m typing this five minutes after my latest meltdown because my evening schedule was suddenly changed and I’m forced to stay up past my preferred bed time. This is also after a day of multiple mini-meltdowns because people around me constantly mess with my sense of organization and correct way of doing things, or they don’t do things the way I’m told things will be done. This is why I work alone from home. I don’t play well with others. But that’s perfectly normal, right?.

Indeed! For decades I could only wear running shoes of a VERY certain shade of blue until I had a choice of any other colour or not wearing anything on my feet... I can get VERY upset if plans I've agreed to (even just in my head) are changed at the last minute... All *perfectly* normal... whatever that means... [lol]

I have the hyper focus kind of ADHD which will surprise exactly no one.
