I have some plants... I used to have a cat.... Never had kids (at least as far as I know....).
They can be very costly, time-consuming and nerve-racking. Mind you, I have always enjoyed mine.
'Experiencing' kids through my sister has been enough for me.... [grin]
I know what you mean but it's always different with your own.
