What if you think and feel? You could cry and laugh at the same time. I often think I would laugh if it wasn't so tragic.
I have the same reaction. Is it a tragic comedy or a comedic tragedy?
what if you do both, and you are laughing by default so you don't cry because everything sucks and is on fire?
Sometimes you just HAVE to laugh because everything else is just not enough of a response.
We probably have to ask Mr. Shakespeare. He was a master of both.
