Some years ago there was a drama series made about the Unabomber and the team of cops hunting him. One of the cops gets really into Industrial Society and its Future and the end of the movie he's glaring at empty robot-controlled redlights and running them. I do the same thing if there are no cars, cameras, or witnesses...treat them like stop signs, I mean. Was the traffic-control mechanism made for man, or man made for the traffic-control mechanism?!
Seems that the best option presently is if the Machines choose to keep us as pets. We'll be like cats - grumpy, unpredictable, and aloof.... and they'll love us for it. Either that or some of us will rise up and smash the machines into junk and then go back to fighting each other....
It does make me laugh (a LOT) though when the Tech bros talk about AI replacing ALL jobs... So, I think, all this stuff you're making with AI robots... who exactly is going to pay for it and using what? Or will it be a case of a few thousand people having everything they could possibly wish for and the other multiple billions starving to death in the urban wilderness? That scenario probably won't go how they expect....!
