Ha-ha-ha! Oh, how CNN has fallen. Usually you would only expect that kind of incompetence from FOX.

Well, to be fair, if it were Fox they would have got the speed right, but would have tied it into a story about how shuttles are flying faster because Iran is developing nuclear weapons and "something has to be done".

In earth orbit? Don't they know you're not supposed to go to warp inside a star system?

It's suprising that someone could write that - and that (presumably) no one checked it!

*Funny* Scott!

I'm thinking these people *never* watch SF movies/shows. Just like Michelle Rodrigez didn't know how to shoot zombies in the head in Resident Evil. I mean - HELLO - Pop culture reference anyone!

Yep - Warp 2.6 inside a solar system is just begging for the ship to be sucked into a wormhole with the impending "Don't use the phasers!!!" asteroid collision.

Reporting like this is why I'm losing my trust in the media ... They make stories up and expect us to believe them.
