I remember working in London and, once I adapted to the pace of life there, I categorised people into two types - those in a hurry and those who get in the way of people in a hurry. On moving here it took around 3-4 months to slow down to normal speed.....

We're only unhappy because the rest won't get out of the way. Honestly, I have a bad ankl, a bad knee, and a hundred pounds on almost everyone at the grocery store and I STILL rocket past them. Ambling is for pleasant country planes, not the market. Of course, I wouldn't say I'm in a hurry, just mission-oriented.I do have a fast walking pace.
I do that annoyed when people stop for a chat in the aisles and block the way with their trollies but at the checkout I'm pretty at ease. Just last week the woman on the till apologised for any delay. I said that it wasn't a problem, I had all the time in the world as I was retired. Made her laugh anyway!
These days I walk only as fast as I need to as I'm no longer on the clock trying to do things in my lunch break!
... as a fast walker with depression, I feel called out. XD
Most people are just slowpokes..... I pity them and their tiny legs......
